Gravity Well Weapon Perk
Ever had a moment where you are attacking an enemy and then all of a sudden they become immune? You then notice the line that connects the enemy to the taken goblin hiding behind an obstacle. Ever wish you could pull that taken goblin from his hiding by shooting at the shielded enemy? Try the gravity well perk, every shot on a target increases the range of gravity and pulls other enemies towards them. This perk could also be used to combine with a rocket launcher or grenade launcher to clear out mobs. As the Drifter says “line ’em up and knock ’em down”.

Armor Crafting
With the announcement of weapon crafting, I believe the next step would be to add armor crafting to Destiny 2. Bungie has stated that the weapon crafting system will not be something veteran players can burn through quickly, but also be open to newer players as well. I kept these thoughts in mind while trying to design this system.
Ada-1 has been a vendor solely for the cosmetic aspects of armor, but with her background in forging, she could also be useful in the creation of armor. Similar to the bounties Ada-1 has now with Armor Synthesis, Armor forging would start you off with choosing an armor piece. The aesthetic of the base armor will be chosen at random from the world loot pool. Upon completing a piece of armor the player will need to return to Ada-1 to upgrade the armor for you. In order to upgrade your armor you would need to complete activities to upgrade it to rare and then to legendary.
100 points are needed in order to upgrade the armor each time, with the break down as follows:
- Patrols – 1 point
- Public Events – 2 points
- Heroic Public Events – 5 points
- Strikes – 10 points
- Gambit Matches – 10 points
- Crucible Matches – 10 points
- Raid Encounters – 20 points
In order to fully incentivize players to use this system, they will be able to allocate the stat perks in sets of five increments. The legendary armor will be capped at 65 base stats, allowing players to farm for higher stat pieces, and incorporate the Armor Forging to create a character with stats that fit their play style. The common gear allows the player to set up the first 45 stat points with each upgrade adding an additional 10 stat points to distribute.
To display progress for the progression, players will be able to hover over the item to see the amount of points they have accrued out of the total possible points. Upon inspection of the item under the mod sockets will be another set of six slots with icons for each of the stats. Upon hovering over one of the icons an interface will appear asking if they would like to allocate points to this stat, simultaneously the stat screen will show what that increase would do for that piece of gear. If the player confirms then the upgraded stat will be reflected on the stat screen on the bottom right of the screen.
Once stats have been allocated and confirmed, they can not be refunded. This is to prevent players from completing a set and only using that single piece of armor. The system to upgrade also allows for the player to play however they like, while still feeling like they are progressing their armor. The time investment needed to upgrade armor, will also provide most players with an extended play time before having a fully customized set of armor.
